Refinements


I took advantage of my vacation to fine-tune the game:

Added an interface for displaying controls :

  • Dynamic display depending on keyboard or gamepad use.
  • "To be continued” message at end of level.

Improved player movement and physic :

  • The player is no longer trapped when colliding with a wall.
  • Player no longer has difficulty climbing stairs.

Lidar scanner improvements :

  • Increased scanner speed.
  • Fixed ray collisions that blocked stairway entrances.
  • Stairs are now correctly scanned and no longer appear as simple ramps.

Added debugging features:

  • fps counter toggled with F1 or D-Pad Down
  • LiDAR point counter toggled with F2 or D-Pad Left
  • Full level rendering toggled with F3 or D-Pad Up.

And a few adjustments to the first area of the map.
